Breathedge 2 Crafting & DIY Upgrades: Confirmed Systems Before Launch
What Breathedge 2 officially confirms about crafting, blueprints, DIY upgrades, equipment and repairs—and what recipe lists still need launch verification.

Crafting is one of the systems the developer deliberately pushed back to the center after rebuilding the demo. The current design is not just “collect two rocks, click recipe, receive better rock.” DIY upgrades are supposed to open routes and make survival easier.

What is confirmed
The Steam page explicitly confirms:
- learning blueprints
- crafting tools and equipment
- upgrading gear and the spacesuit
- repairing and dismantling machinery
- gathering resources to reach previously inaccessible places
The developer also describes DIY as part of progression: what you find and how you develop can open new paths, locations and items.
Modular equipment is real
Official development screenshots show modular equipment/armor screens rather than a simple linear “+1 tool” list. One screenshot shows a scrap tool with swappable-looking components; another shows separate armor parts on the character.

That is enough to say the system exists. It is not enough to publish a complete launch recipe table before the build can be checked.
Machines matter too
The developer has also described fixing and upgrading machines found in the environment. That creates a nice guide pattern after launch: where the machine is → what it needs → what it unlocks → what resources it produces or saves.

What is still unverified
We are deliberately holding back:
- full recipe list
- exact material costs
- every blueprint location
- “best” tool path
- final upgrade tiers
Some competitor pages already publish very specific materials and tiers before the game is playable. Until those claims are reproduced in the current build, they stay out of our database.
