Breathedge 2 Roadmap: Vehicles, Base Building, Planets & Future Updates

What RedRuins has actually said about Breathedge 2 updates after Early Access, separated from launch content and speculation.

The Breathedge 2 roadmap is easier to understand if you stop treating every feature shown on a store page as a launch feature. Some of the coolest systems—vehicles, personal spacecraft, building and planetary gameplay—are future Early Access work.

Launch: August 31, 2026

The launch build centers on the first major story chapter and one dense area with survival, exploration, crafting, repairs, combat, quests, NPCs and collectibles.

First major update — planned direction

A June 2026 developer post said the first major post-launch update is intended to add:

  • personal transport, small and large
  • more lore and quests
  • more location content
  • the Man’s progression
  • new NPCs
  • additional mechanics

Second major update — planned direction

The same update placed base building, separate structures and planetary gameplay in the plan for the second major update.

That sequence can change. Early Access plans are not contracts, and the studio explicitly reserves room to change scope and order based on development and feedback.

Longer-term Steam roadmap language

The current Steam page also names:

  • continued main story
  • new exploration areas
  • planetary surfaces
  • additional characters and quests
  • more survival/exploration development
  • more items and equipment
  • small flying and ground vehicles
  • personal spacecraft
  • warp-jump system
  • building

Early Access duration

The current estimate is roughly 16–20 months. If that holds, the site will need versioned guides: a recipe or map that is right in August 2026 may be wrong after a major update.

For that reason every gameplay guide here carries a Last Verified and Evidence Status line.
