Breathedge 2 Hotfix 0.8.6 Patch Notes
Official Breathedge 2 Early Access Hotfix 0.8.6 (September 2, 2026): food, water and fatigue drain cut 15%, quest blockers fixed, Steam trading cards.

Breathedge 2 Early Access moved past this build on September 4, 2026 — see the Hotfix 0.8.7 notes, and the patch notes tracker for the full Early Access timeline. 0.8.6 shipped September 2, 2026; the previous day’s 0.8.5 notes are on the 0.8.5 page. Below is what 0.8.6 actually changed, from the official Steam post.
Balance
- Food, water and fatigue drain in standard mode are 15% slower. Official notes say this came from player reports that hunger and thirst drained too fast.
- Easy and Story difficulties still exist if standard still feels harsh. You can switch difficulty without starting a new game.
Fixes
- DIY upgrades installed into a food or water machine no longer reset to 100 durability when you remove them.
- Gamepad no longer switches on and stays locked, which used to block switching back to keyboard.
- Invisible mouse cursor in menus when a yoke, wheel or pedals is connected.
- Station robot now comes out of the door if you died next to it during the first dialogue and respawned on the train.
- Hatch battery quest: any battery from any location works. You no longer have to break ice if you already found a battery elsewhere.
- Knocking ice off the 10g antenna very quickly now counts toward the stage.
- Breaking ice on the station door now advances the quest reliably.
Steam Trading Cards
- Steam Trading Cards were added.
