Is Breathedge 2 Multiplayer or Co-op? The Official Answer
Breathedge 2 is currently a single-player game. The developer says multiplayer, co-op and cross-play are not planned right now.

If you are hoping to drift into space with a friend, the current answer is simple: Breathedge 2 is single-player.
The developer’s pinned Steam FAQ says:
- online co-op / two-player mode: not planned right now
- cross-play: not planned right now
The studio left itself the usual “maybe plans change later” wiggle room, but there is no announced co-op mode you should buy the game expecting to receive.
Why the confusion?
The sequel talks a lot about crew management, but crew members are game characters, not other human players. The Steam and Epic listings both identify the game as single-player.

Could multiplayer arrive later in Early Access?
Anything can change in Early Access, but there is no roadmap commitment for multiplayer. The current announced future work focuses on story, areas, vehicles, personal spacecraft, progression, building and planetary gameplay.
So if co-op is a must-have, don’t buy on the assumption that it is quietly coming later. If you just want to know how crew systems work, see Crew Roles & Management—and note that we do not publish made-up “Engineer/Medic/Gunner” class lists unless the launch build actually confirms them.
